MBTI Types Ranked from Meh to Amazing

The Myers-Briggs personalities encompass everyone from entertainers to professors to lawyers to clowns. While I do believe to each their own, there are certain characteristics in some of the personality types that are more attractive and enticing while others are, well, eh. By the way, don’t forget to check out another video we made called The Most Attractive Thing About You Based on Your Personality Type.

These personality types are broad and we can find good and bad in each of them, so take this with a grain of salt. Without further ado, here are the 16 MBTI types ranked from meh to amazing.

1. ENTPs come in as the most meh personality type, as these debaters cannot resist an intellectual challenge – AKA a debate. Sure, this could make them great politicians or argumentative spectators at an open town hall, but who wants to be around someone who is always picking a verbal fight with those around them? Hard pass.

2. ESTJs are necessary in most workplaces, but they aren’t exactly highly valued or loved. These are the executives and supervisors. Have you ever had a “meh” boss? I bet you did. Let me put it this way; they can run a tight ship, but none of the crew members will be asking them to go out for a beer anytime soon.

3. The INTJ architects are detail-oriented and capable, but their way of thinking makes it tough for others to relate to them in the day-to-day world. This personality type comes off as arrogant to many and they are quick to dismiss the emotions of others. There’s a red flag for relationships if I’ve ever seen one.

4. ENTJs are commanders who get things done, but this personality type can sometimes come off as too dominant, stubborn, or impatient with others. A bit of a tough personality in the eyes of many others.

5. ISTPs have a lot of skills when it comes to crafts, creativity, and inquisitiveness, but they are lacking on the people front. With so much I-can-do-this-myself attitude going on, it’s hard to create long-lasting, meaningful connections with these virtuoso craftsmen.

6. The logician INTPs are exactly what their name implies – they’re thinkers. They’re great to chat with about philosophy and the workings of the universe, but the bad news is that’s rarely what people want to talk about.

7. ENFPs are campaigners by trade. Their enthusiasm and free-spirit-ness may attract some, but being so open-minded may also turn away a lot of the more conservative personality types out there. I will say that these guys are generally very upbeat, which is a plus, but they are otherwise neutrally found mid-list.

8. INFJs are known as the rarest personality type. While they have a lot of great characteristics like compassion, insightfulness, and idealism, they tend to be isolated from others and are very timid, which makes it difficult to connect with them at times.

9. ESFJs are another pillar of support in your life that you didn’t know you needed. They don’t call them consuls for nothing; these personalities are attentive, people-focused, and prioritize caring for others. This sociable group loves to connect with others, although they can be a bit emotional and needy at times.

10. ISTJs are your voice of reason. They have the capability of the debater without the obnoxious need to always be right out loud. They’re quieter – which is a plus here – a and they can share a very rational and practical outlook on life. No drama or wishy-washiness here, just the facts.

11. ESTPs are my entrepreneurs out there. You have that energy, that spontaneity, that adaptability that makes start-ups make it to the top! These people are action-oriented, which is good, but they can’t top the list because they sometimes intimidate or leave out the quieter personalities in the group.

12. INFPs are called the mediators of the group, which makes them a family favorite. They’re kind, altruistic, and always eager to help a good cause or help a friend out. They’re someone you would call if you were upset or needed a hand.

13. ISFJs help make the world go round. They don’t stand out but without them, the world would be chaotic, meaner, and a whole lot less efficient. These defenders are warm, unassuming, and responsible. They are the ones who remember our birthdays, uphold traditions, and show loved ones grand gestures of support. If only we all acknowledged the needs of others in the same way.

14. ENFJs are known as the protagonists, which also bumps them up as a protagonist on this list. They are charismatic and inspiring. You know those TED Talks you hear that make you leave thinking, “Wow, this changed my perspective on life?” Well, an ENFJ likely gave that speech.

15. ISFPs are the adventurers because they are flexible, self-expressive, and truly unique. Almost every adventurer you meet will be interesting to you in some sort of way. The name speaks for itself.

16. ESFPs are the entertainers, so they are topping the charts – literally in this video. They’re spontaneous and fun-loving, exciting and engaging, and we all love some good entertainment, don’t we? These people break into song and dance, get caught up in excitement, and always have energy to give.

Conclusion:

Well, there you have it folks. Like I said, even though you may be classified as one personality type, you likely don’t have all of the general features we mention today. Take it with a grain of salt because you are uniquely you, and that’s awesome!
